I'm still here, though my writing has moved to G+.

Hipsters have taken OVER Austin. Luckily, because we're sort of one of the Original Fad Bellwether towns, the mainstreaming of hipsters means we'll get something else soon, and let me tell you the fixie bikes, mustaches, and cupcakes cannot go away soon enough.

(ask yourself, how bad must it be to have made Rowan resent an innocent baked good?)

Much love,
Rowan

Nice to know where you've migrated.

You want to talk about a town that got taken over by hipsters, lady? I live in Portland, OR. I'm becoming more and more certain that this is where the hipster thing will come to die a slow, graceless death. That said, I have sympathy for any town that has to deal with a significant hipster population.

One assumes that intense feeling of wanting to set tiger pit traps lined with the political flavor of the month comes from where you live. Or what you are tuned into? :) Lots of rage man. So many ways to discuss this topic too. Sorry, I'm thinking as I'm typing. Lol. I don't get angry about the entrenched corporate structure anymore. Could be because I see light in some areas of the tunnel. Truly, not all corps are evil ( ... )
