It's pouring rain!

There was even thunder and lightning this morning. Demelza was eating her breakfast and cringed every time the thunder boomed--so here's me, who hates thunder only a little less than she does reassuring her "it's only a loud noise." Brave, huh?

Wow--excitement at the complex! I'm glad it turned out all right, because you're right it could have been a disaster in several different ways. Whew.

Yay for rain! \o/ We do get thunder and lightning here quite often--oh, and it's just occurred to me that I'll have a splendid view of that now! Cool.

New Tricks sounds intriguing. I know I've seen it available in places, but never checked it out. Thanks! It's fun to discover a new show to enjoy!

My friend, Kaye Austen Michaels, is always introducing me to new programmes--and New Tricks is by far my fave. There's eleven seasons to catch up on! I'm half in two and half in three depending on which discs I can find at the British DVD section in the library.

BTW, she also recced one you watch, the British Baking show. I only watched one ep, but it was a tense match with six of the contestants making puff pastry from scratch in four hours. Wow, it was tense!

Ok-- now there's another show for me to check out, then :)

I watched Spectre last week -- loved it!

Raining is good. Right?
Hope the thunder would go away

I am not a Bond fan, and particularly not Daniel Craig. Now, if Idris Elba stars in one, then I'd go!

Rain is fantastic--we are so dry right now. The thunder and lightning left after about an hour. ;-)

I enjoy New Tricks, too. My favorite character is Esther Lane. She only shows up occasionally, but she's a beautifully portrayed by Susan Jameson.

Esther and Brian--what a fantastic pair. He's so hyper, obsessive and brilliant, she's so down to earth, long suffering and calm. They're perfect.

I get to see New Tricks down at my mother's occasionally - she really enjoys it.

After reading your latest BB, I was inspired to by The Racing Game from Amazon UK. I'menjoying it a lot, and wish they'd made some more eps. Mike Gwyllim really captures Sid's loneliness, his discomfort with his disabilty and his bloody-mindedness.

I so fell in love with Sid and Chico in '79--and there were only three eps! Had to wait another year and then there were only three more, and only two with Chico. MG had gorgeous eyes, and yes--that bloody mindedness. I'll admit my heart belongs to Chico, though.
