interesting. given how little control Dave has over himself when he is near Kurt I dont really see this "leaving alone" thing work out that good :( but I like that he wants to appologize

He's so convinced that he can do it if he only tries hard enough. But I think that when he saw how Kurt refused to give up his secret in Sue's office, that would make him really see that he didn't have to worry about Kurt telling anyone. And that would make him want to make things right.

Dave's wedding topper obsession makes me smile. Poor kid has it bad, and has no idea what he has set into motion.

I know, right? It's become such a symbol for him...the life that he wishes he could want, but at the same time, reminding him of who he actually does want. And I think after a time it becomes a sort of totem, and holding it becomes just something that he does, without thinking about why.

Thank you! Dave, I swear, somehow in the past three months he's become the reason I watch the show. I need to see what happens to him, I need to see that he's going to be okay. And I love trying to get into his head, even though i's obviously not a fun place to be, poor boy. :(

I can't wait to read more, now that I've reached the last posted chapter. I was tensed for some violent outburst from Dave's dad, and while I'm glad nothing of that sort happened... I'm still extremely sympathetic towards Dave. And yeah... I want to see how well Dave's latest plan actually works; I just hope his father doesn't end up giving him the walloping of a lifetime.

I had originally intended for Paul to be more violent here, but when I came to it I couldn't write it, just emotionally it was too difficult. But even though he didn't actually hurt Dave, there's something almost equally scary, I think, about having an unpredictable parent, someone who could go off at any time for any perceived wrongdoing. There would be a constant state of underlying fear, because you never know.
