Pretty much any piercing that is removed will leave a scar. When a piercing heals around whatever metal was inserted, the part of the body in direct contact with the metal forms scar tissue as skin, essentially leaving a scar-tissue-lined hole. When the metal is removed, the body will then eventually fill that open void with more scar tissue and seal it.
yeah, you end up having the hole there forever, well, the inside closes up butr you can still see the hole as if you got it done recently. i knew a chick who took hers out and she had the hole still ther and im like "oooh, dont have it in today?" and shes like 'more like for the past 7 years!"
