The Ellicott City Ghost Tour

This weekend, we wanted to do something special for Halloween. Our first thought was to go see Saw 2, but our friend Potter would be over, and he is averse to scary movies. And so, on a whim, Bobby called the Ellicott City tourism office to see if they had any spots left on their ghost tours. I was certain that they wouldn't; after all, it is

Yes, DO take some pix with your digital! Actually, this is very strange: in the past 2 weeks I've seen 2 movies on TV that were set in Baltimore: one was "Avalon", which starred Aidan Quinn with Elijah Wood as his son, and the other was "Crybaby", with Johnny Depp! Also, I've been watching "The Amazing Race", a reality TV show, and the teams went PAST Baltimore awhile back, but never went into the city! I was, like SO disappointed! They went to D.C. instead! I was like, poop!!!

OMG!! Yes, I love the Bransons (that's Wally and the girls, right?) Also the Linz family (the guys are hott). I also like the Paolos even if they do fight a lot. Their mom had the best line so far: "I was lower than a pregnant ant on the ground", and I love their accents.

Are you kidding??? I'm the biggest Survivor fan there is! And OMG is Bobby Jon hott. I'd like to borrow him for a week or so and show him how women treat boys like him here in old Toronto!

When I thought they were going to vote him out last show I freaked out. I had to hold a pillow to my face and chew on it until I knew he was safe. I actually yelled out loud, "If you vote Bobby Jon off, I am NEVER going to watch Survivor again!!!

I was so glad that they brought him back from last year.

I also watch Big Brother, and I thought Kaysar was hott too.

The Bransons (yep, Wally and his daughters), and the Linz family are my favorites too. I'm not liking the Paolo's much, but they're beginning to grow on me. I don't like the 4 sisters family, or the Gaghen family much, but I can stand those two more than the Weavers.

I went on a "ghost walk" one night in Tunnel Hill, GA. We went through the old train tunnel (hence the name of the town, LOL!) Creepy as all hell, but I went. It was a group of us SCA'ers along with a group of Civil War reenactors, who, coincidentally, invited us along. Now, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but the CW people were snapping away with their digital cameras. I did, however, *feel* things that weren't normal. Example, my right side grew cold. There was no wind. Nothing that could possibly make *just* my right side go cold as it did. CW people told me that a soldier/sentry was being curious about our group, for it had happened to several others. Creepy, but fascinating at the same time! I would go again!

BTW: If I can find the website again, it has a whole lot of fascinating ghost tales. My particular favorite is the Bell Witch of TN. Go figure, huh? ;-)

We didn't see--or feel--anything out of the ordinary, but it's kind of hard, with traffic rumbling behind you on Main Street and people ducking in and out of the restaurants and coffee shops the whole time.

Our guide told us, though, that there have been tours that have experienced weird things, right down to sighting Al, the ghost that haunts one of the furniture shops. I kept hoping for a ghost but didn't get one! As I hope to open my ice cream store, one day, in the historic district, though, I still may have a chance :)

If you find the site, let me know. I love that kind of stuff. Bobby found out today that there is actually a book written about the history and the hauntings of Ellicott City. I have a feeling that will be on both of our Christmas lists!
