This is apparently peak leaf weekend in our neck of the woods. We saw a lot of out-of-state tags during our errands today. That's great! Come enjoy our leaves and support Vermont's economy ( Read more... )

Ohhh, the golden leaves are so gorgeous!

I'm incredibly prone to hives. Sometimes it's from a medication, or a new shampoo, but often I can't trace back what in the WORLD set them off this time.

What lovely photos. Are the ponds you explored open all winter or are they winter kill ponds? Many of the lakes here in the Frozen Northland are actually winter kill lakes because they aren't deep enough to keep enough O2 for the fish over the winter. Just curious ...

Good choice to go to dinner with the bearded guy who was following you, but bummer on the allergic reaction. I find that my allergies ebb and flow without any discernible reason and what was OK one day will leave me with a faucet for a nose the next. Cider sounds like a very good alternative choice.

Have a wonderful weekend.

So freaking gorgeous!

Hmm. I'm not sure if the breweries would be willing to tell you what the specific ingredients are, but calling and asking may be worth a shot to see if you could isolate the specific one giving you problems. But ugh; random allergies are so frustrating.

Sorry to hear about that allergic reaction, it sounds rather uncomfortable. But what lovely pics! I know what you mean about some things need to be experienced for real, and images give only a flat image of reality. But even so just seeing the images is such a treat. :D

Edit because something just occurred to me: have you ever paid attention to what you eat with the beer you're reacting to? I know from experience that some things I tolerate well on their own, but not at all when dairy is incorporated.

These are lovely! I'm not looking for prize-winnign photography, more a window into your day, so the technical issues of getting a good shot from moving water really don't matter in the slightest.

... and now I'm imagining Maglor in the seventh age, finding a discarded camera and getting a fresh lesson in the difficulties of impermanence. For some reason the thought of him struggling with the technology is hilarious to me.
