can you make the fonts a bit bigger? ;-) i fight the urge to get out my magnifying glass to read your blog... just a wee suggestion... ;-)
Anyhow, I wish I could find the time (and money) to learn how to skate like you describe above. I have someone who'd love to skate, but she's afraid she'd fall over because she hasn't skated in forever. Neither have I, but it's like riding the proverbial bike. ;-) Anyway, even if I did find a group locally (which is damn near impossible), I would be had pressed to find a group that practices during the day. I work nights. *sigh*
I guess I'll have to content myself with speed skating. ;-) And kid-dodging.
Steelers v. Titans on telly (go Titans!)
You're a Titans fan too?? ((((huggles))))
Wait, you are talking about the TN Titans, right? :-)

Hehe, punny ;) Yes, I can (and will) do that :)

I am first and foremost (of course) a Ravens' fan. But yes, I also like the (Tennessee) Titans. Certainly much more than the Steelers, who are tied with the Eagles for Teh Suckiest Team, IMHO :)
Phew!! Sounds like fun! And pain in a good way! :) Axles and doubles? Eek!! That sounds hard, even though they look so easy.
Part of the point is to make it look easy but it certainly is not. I cannot do either an axle or a double, although I can do other one-and-a-half revolution jumps that require a forward exit. (The scary part about axles and doubles, for me, is landing *backwards* on one foot!)
What is a flip jump??
Not nearly as impressive as it sounds :) It involves skating backwards, taking off of the right toe, and landing on the back outside edge. It looks like a little spin in the air :) An open flip is the same thing, only you can be lazy and not pull your feet together. I like open flips much more, therefore ;)

I could make it look very embarrassing, I'm sure! I'm not very graceful. ;D

Oh, well, as long as the Ravens win tonight against the Colts, I'll count it a good day in football.
