Thanksgiving ... Food, Family, and Near Disaster

Thanksgiving is one of Bobby's and my holidays, so this week has been a steady build-up toward the big day. We also have a Thanksgiving lunch at work, so Bobby made a turkey and I made three batches of ice cream for that. Then it was on to our own feast ( Read more... )

Your rugs have piqued my interest. The small one that the tree is on looks like a European style, but the larger one that Alex is lying on seems Navajo. Curiosity....

My dining room table ends are held up (none too well) by wooden braces since they really don't work well at all. I don't think I could ever trust real food to them anymore. I inherited the table and chairs from my husband's grandmother and while I love the chairs, I hate the table.

I know you'll have a fabulous time on your trip!

Nice pictures! What a pretty seasonal table setting. (I like those chile posters. I've always liked the idea of those--not only are they pretty, but great reference material. Save on Googling!)

At least it will be a memorable Thanksgiving! Good thing it wasn't worse. The food all sounds fabulous. And you're going to England during Christmas? Good for you. Any particular reason why then? Where will you be? I'm going back this next summer.
