I participated in Sultry in September this year, and it was my very first ficswap. That seems kind of crazy, as I have been playing in this fandom for eight years, but I usually can't commit absolutely to getting anything done that isn't related to teaching, grad school, or the SWG, and of course, absolute commitment is a requirement for a ficswap

I read yours and it is absolutely lovely. I'll review later tonight. I am such a glutton that I am reading Zeen's now. I agree with you. It is a delightful story. I got a good one also--a very subtle restrained Finrod and Curufin at Nargothrond--darkish, of course. Finrod is getting a work out tonight! He needs a little love. I always leave him alone and frustrated in my stories.

I noticed in hearing various chatter about SinS that Finrod was getting a lot of love this time around! My namesake is happy! :D

It was my first time with a fic exchange like this, too (well, participating as a writer). They scared me before, though I'm glad I did one.

The story I got was perfect. Orodreth/Caranthir, with a strong-willed Orodreth. I grinned the whole way through reading it.

I need to read everyone else's, though when I get the time is going to be the question. It sounds like there's a ton of terrific stories out there. :D

I've been on the verge of signing up for various Slashy exchanges so many times in the past, but I always have myriad obligations that come before being able to write, and I would never sign up for something that I wasn't 99% certain I could complete. (That 1% being the kinds of circumstances that one can't possibly foresee.) I like challenges that are nothing near what I'd write normally. This pairing and the elements Urloth requested were waaay off my usual radar, but she jolted my muses in such a way that now they're thinking of more stories to tell in this particular corner of the Felakverse ... :D

I can't wait to read some of the other stories that were written for this. Now to find the time!

I've just always been too nervous that my recipient wouldn't like whatever I wrote. My request was actually pretty near and dear to my heart (I love writing cracky pairings, especially trying to figure out ways to at least hint at them making sense). :D

Oh, no not me :) I don't participate, (Three WIP's - no time!) but I know Urloth likes Celegorm and Finrod, so I was thrilled when I saw she'd asked for it, as I don't see that pairing at all. That is the only problem with rare pairings - lack of fic. It was a real treat!

Thank you. :D It's much longer than I intended. (If I had a dollar for every time I said that about a piece of writing, I could probably quit my job and actually become a writer! :D)

I was very pleased with what I received as well and it went beyond expectations. I had felt a little let down in the past with a couple stories I received but eidolon_writes is impressive. I checked out a bunch of her other stories and was blown away, too.

Like you, I got a little wordy... but you surpassed me in that. Some folks were giving me the HOLY MOLEY look when I said mine ended up at nearly 40 microsoft word pages. Rhapsy was a great beta and took the daunting task but she acknowledge too how I wrote it couldn't be done any other way in leaving anything out.

I also got another plot bunny out of writing it that I may have to try for a NaNo because it will prove to be VERY lengthy from what I have in mind.
