Did That Just Happen?! We're Off to the AFC Championship!!!

The Ravens went into today's playoff game against Denver, in Denver, as severe underdogs. No one but the Bal'more diehard thought they had a snowball's chance. Well, after a nail-biter of a game that involved four tied scores and went into a second overtime session, the Ravens won with a field goal in said second overtime, 38-35. WOOHOO! I was an excellent game, even though my beloved Denver Broncos lost. The second game, SF vs GB was also excellent. I hope today's will be equally good and wish your team luck in the next rung of the ladder.

The advantage of having lost is that I can cheer for anyone I want...

It was a very close game. Y'all could have won it just as easily as we did. If one of those almost-interceptions Flacco threw had been caught, or if Manning hadn't thrown that last INT ... I think we'd be on different sides in terms of celebration. :) I am proud of the Ravens for pulling out a far better game than people were saying they would. I am rooting for Ray to get one more ring. ;)

Had the Ravens lost, I would have been rooting for either the Broncos or maybe the Texans (simply because they are a young team and I have a soft spot for young teams who win the Super Bowl. ;) I have always admired the hell out of Payton Manning. I love watching him play.

Anyone but the Patriots. ;)

Okay, we know I am NOT a Ravens fan, but...that was an incredible game. Plus, my motto is that it's better to lose to the winners than lose to the losers. ;)

Of course, this year the Steelers lost to just about everyone. >_<

Yeah, I actually felt bad for you guys this year. The rivalry isn't as much fun when both teams aren't really good. ;)

And maybe it will take the sting out of your season if we win the Super Bowl, eh? So, yeah, you should totally root for us. ;^D That probably only makes a lick of sense in my brain, but hey ...

I try to console myself with the thought that they realised there was no hope and played for a draft pick instead...

Perhaps I will root for them... It will make beating the Ravens NEXT year all the more fun! ;) ;)

That's possible. When we had our little losing streak because of so many players being out with injuries, I heard people saying that maybe we should pack up our hopes and aim for a good draft pick. Bal'morons are so dramatic!

It will make beating the Ravens NEXT year all the more fun! ;) ;)

Bring it! :D

Looks like it's come to that, and we'll do our best! ;) We have a score to settle after we were robbed in last year's AFC Championship against them by a missed field goal, among other things.

Those evil bastards. Git 'em!

My SO and I went to the 2004 AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh against the Patriots. We vividly remember the moment when, after another debacle of a failed play, we turned to one another and one of us said, "It's like they knew what we were going to do!" The videotaping controversy broke soon after. Grrrrrrr.
