That's the perfect description of them! :) It was a wet, miserable day here, and cheering that was what I hoped to do, so I'm glad I was successful! :)

Awww. They are lovely! And they lie (or flop) just like Billy does (he is not a golden, he's a collie-cross, but same poses)

Your last picture made me laugh out loud, because Billy tries to do just the same with me when he is scared of fireworks, the noise of ladders, thunder, etc, etc. he gets a ball or a fluffy toy and tries to hid between my legs, or under the chair.

Awww ... poor Billy! Surprisingly, Lance isn't afraid of thunder unless it's really loud. He had to sleep with us during a recent storm in the middle of the night. He's such a baby.

I love the poses dogs assume when lying/flopping. Aside from the on-the-side-sprawl, my two tend to be completely different in how they find comfort. Alex does the put-'em-up pose, while Lance curls up or lays with one paw tucked under his body.

Billy does both of those, and just now he was sprawled belly up on the spare bed, which makes him about as long as the bed. Dogs do know how to relax. :D

Alex, especially, does that too. In the summer, he sprawls on his back in the sun. I tell him that's he's luxuriating. :)

They're such funny animals. I love their individual quirks and personalities. That they're cute and very, very soft helps too. ;)

I love dogs so much. My dad's old dog was a golden, and he was beautiful. My dad named him Peuron for his lightning tail.

Goldens have always been my favorite. :) Lancer could be a Peuron too; not only does he have the jaunty tail of a Golden, but it's fierce at knocking things over! :D
