Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

I hope that you all have a spooktacular howliday (and don't suffer too badly from the bad puns being bandied about in the [Cyber] Bag of Weasels ...). Watch out for ghosts, talking Ravens ravens, and don't eat any pirate coins!

(Seriously, if you have kids and haven't seen the email about the pirate coins, do read it. ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, I have bad news too. Haunted October has fallen on its face.

I decided that rather than force a story that I actually like just to have it finished, then I will take the time to finish it when I feel that I have the creative capacity to do it justice.

I stand in solidarity with the Sisterhood of the Unfinished Halloween '08 Fiction. I'm in much the same situation, albeit with work-related writing and accompanying exercises-in-order diverting my dark muse's attention.

I have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen to Detective Conway and yes, there will be a little involvement from the Harvard Genomics department. :^D

Oh!! Today when Moreth posted hers I started to wonder if I missed the following parts, but please take your time. Dawn also keeps everything tagged so I can always go back later on :)

Woohoo! The Sisterhood of Unslacker Authors unite! We may not be getting anything done on stories, but that doesn't mean that we're not busy!

Could you just throw something at me when you post the next installment, pretty please? My LJ time has dwindled to almost nothing ... :(

I think your muses might have been lured away by mine. Naughty naughty elves. Have a great holiday! I know its your favourite one :c)

Thank you! :) You're right that it is my fave.

I do hope our muses are off having fun together. Maybe they're someplace tropical. They could at least send us postcards!

Hehehehe, well perhaps the muses are here, because I have someone speaking in my ear almost all the time!

But I agree on not forcing stories just to finish them - it is a hobby after all, and should be fun. But people with wings, eh? Sounds...intriguing..

Happy holiday!

Thank you! So are you saying that Rhapsody's and my muses haven't gone to a warm-weather location but Denmark??

Shoot. Well, I better doubly hope that Barack Obama gets elected in four days because, otherwise, once they see how "the other half lives," I might never get them back! ;)

LOL yes - the muses are in the land of milk and honey and socialism, where people are skipping down the roads going lalalalalala all the time.

Pretty much all of Europe shares your hope (and are VERY tired of the American election taking up half our news when we don't even have an influence on it - I still think we should all get to vote.)

Ha! Don't mean to crow, but you and Pandomnium always leave me eating your dust. I'm always the one who doesn't get anything written and I wrote TWO Halloween fics and I hadn't planned any. (OK. I did blow the monthly bio; but it inspired a ficlet as well. Soon very soon.)

Gloat away! I can imagine how my jack-rabbit-on-speed productivity rate can be annoying. Well, the productivity hasn't subsided, just been redirected. It's still frustrating, though. I want badly to do something creative.

As for the monthly bio ... well, look at how much I've gotten done on the newsletter ... ;)

People with wings, people with wings, omG, I am totally remembering the Haunted October from two years back with the... with the heavenly type creatures with all the...sharp teeth...

But you're right, it's never good to force a story. That usually makes it fall harder than not completing it. I've tried lots of times and it almost hurts to do so. So I'll just wait comfortably. *settles in* Muaharhar.
