Happy Halloween, everyone!
I hope that you all have a spooktacular howliday (and don't suffer too badly from the bad puns being bandied about in the [Cyber] Bag of Weasels ...). Watch out for ghosts, talking Ravens ravens, and don't eat any
pirate coins!
(Seriously, if you have kids and haven't seen the email about the pirate coins, do read it.

Unfortunately, I have bad news too. Haunted October has fallen on its face.
I decided that rather than force a story that I actually like just to have it finished, then I will take the time to finish it when I feel that I have the creative capacity to do it justice.
I stand in solidarity with the Sisterhood of the Unfinished Halloween '08 Fiction. I'm in much the same situation, albeit with work-related writing and accompanying exercises-in-order diverting my dark muse's attention.
I have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen to Detective Conway and yes, there will be a little involvement from the Harvard Genomics department. :^D

Could you just throw something at me when you post the next installment, pretty please? My LJ time has dwindled to almost nothing ... :(

I do hope our muses are off having fun together. Maybe they're someplace tropical. They could at least send us postcards!

But I agree on not forcing stories just to finish them - it is a hobby after all, and should be fun. But people with wings, eh? Sounds...intriguing..
Happy holiday!

Shoot. Well, I better doubly hope that Barack Obama gets elected in four days because, otherwise, once they see how "the other half lives," I might never get them back! ;)

Pretty much all of Europe shares your hope (and are VERY tired of the American election taking up half our news when we don't even have an influence on it - I still think we should all get to vote.)

But you're right, it's never good to force a story. That usually makes it fall harder than not completing it. I've tried lots of times and it almost hurts to do so. So I'll just wait comfortably. *settles in* Muaharhar.
