Post Round-up and Blog Debut!

Whenever I post on sites outside my journal, I periodically link to those posts here. I haven't rounded anything up in a while because there hasn't been anything to round up! But, as a personal reward for finishing my American Fiction course, I've allowed myself to make my first blog post to my shiny new blog.

Hey, shiny! I like the look of the new blog, Dawn: the layout is very pleasing.

*sigh* I'd say yes to the guest-blogging, but I know that I'd just end up blathering about how cool Harry Potter is and how much I love it, rather than any sort of rational analysis of it.

Well, the cool thing about guest blogging is that if you ever put together something that you'd like to share there, you need only let me know! :) There's no commitment whatsoever to do so.

And thanks for the compliment on the layout! I worked hard on it and, mostly, with getting it to play nice with IE. ;)

I notice that the reply form on your blog requires the input of an e-mail address. Who sees that e-mail?

Good question. I just navigated around my dashboard a bit and can see the email addresses there. They're not published otherwise.

If you don't want to share your email address (and I'm not even sure why WP requires it, except that I can probably block users by email), just enter something bogus. You can enter my email if you'd like. ;) I know you well enough by now not to need a means to block you from commenting on my blog if you'd like! :)

Huzzah! The much-awaited blog Debuts! And wow, what an entrance- it is perfectly classy and sleek and still bookish! Also, v. nice topic for the first post. It's one of my absolute big annoyances, allegory in Tolkien's works- seeing as it doesn't exist, that's quite the feat. The times I've ground my teeth at reading yet another article/comment about how LoTR is allegorical...grahgh.
