Somehow I don't think Feanaro ever was one to forgive, if he had still been alive in the last scene he would have laughed at Nolofinwe offering a pardon - or more likely flown into a rage that Nolofinwe would presume that it is Feanaro who needed to be forgiven and not the other way around. But very much like Nolofinwe to make the first move.
Maitimo - wise beyond his years.
As always, your writing invokes a wonderful sense of place and character, it's as if I'm standing right next to them.

Now I'm pondering another Feanor!lives AU just to write that reaction between him and Nolofinwe. While my brief foray into Feanor!lives AU did make me realize why it is necessary that he die so early in the story, it doesn't completely remove the temptation of scenes like these.
Oddly, even though it has none of the "epic" impact of the first and the third, the one about Maitimo was my favorite to write. But ... thank you for the challenge! It was great fun, and the bunnies started nibbling more or less immediately, as evidenced by the fact that this was one of the first ones finished. :)
