I would like to issue a dire warning to all movie fans out there before I confine the rest of my ranting behind an LJ cut: Big Animal Movies™ are on the loose, masquerading as normal movies that you think you might want to see. lmao! I love this sort of movie, so long as I don't actually have to watch it - I like hearing about it afterwards, because although I feel sorry for the poor individual who had to sit through it, there'e the abiding sense of "well, at least *I* didn't have to watch it to find out it sucked!" lol

Plus, I usually find that *hearing* about this sort of movie, actually makes it funier than having to watch it :)

Thankies for saving me from this :D Sorry you had to suffer through a Big Animal Movies™, though... :S

I hope that the next film you watch is better for you :)

You know, I actually like reviewing movies that I don't like rather than movie that I do like! The only fun about baaad movies is getting to rip them apart afterwards.

And I know all about those sorts of reviews. I keep up with movie reviews, especially of stuff I've seen, and when I critic shreds one...well, I guess it's like passing an accident scene and being unable to look away. :^P

Anyway, tomorrow we're seeing Pan's Labyrinth, which has finally come to our area, so that promises to be better. It's a horror movie but it's gotten great reviews...and it's not American. Which increases my hopes for it right there, sadly. I'd sooner sit through subtitles than most of the tripe that passes for "horror" these days.
