The fact that Ji-Yeon is an orphan now bothers me more than any of the other bizarre and nonsensical things that happened in this season, COMBINED.
I mean, yeah, that whole "here is the light that is the good in the heart of every human--whoops, we let it go out--no wait, just kidding!" thing was whacked out, but . . . poor Ji-Yeon!
And the worst part is, nobody seems that bothered by this. You get ONE LINE where Kate's all, "They have a daughter!" But beyond that . . . hell, even in Alternate Timeline Land, she's still in utero, so really, Jin never DOES get to meet her.
I kind of think that the writers really must not have children, because they kind of neglect poor Ji-Yeon throughout. All that time Sun's out on the island, she's just sort of breezing around trying to find Jin, and NOT ONCE is she like, "Oh man, I've gotta get back to my kid, what if I never do?" I mean, if it were me, I'd be frantic to get back to my kid.
I'd probably also insist that Jin NOT pointlessly sacrifice himself leaving our child PARENTLESS just for the purpose of making my own death more ROMANTIC.

I'm using my no-longer-even-funny icon just for the occasion.
