Textile Recycling

It's been a few years since the last time this was asked...so where is the best place to get rid of textiles these days (clothing that is clean, but worn to a degree that it is unwearable)?

The donation bin at the Healey school (and I believe there is also one at the Kennedy school.)

The school gets paid per pound by the recycling company that empties the bin. They resell what they can as whole items, and the rest is recycled. Nothing with mold or wet, otherwise fabric, books and shoes are all welcome.

(I don't know what the one at the brown school is these days, it might have the same deal, or it might be different.)

There's a similar bin at the Peabody school on Rindge Ave, but I have no idea if the rules for using it are the same.

Yes, the Peabody school and the Brown school boxes both have the same logo on them. (My personal vote is that my kid's school gets the minor donation $$, which would be at Healey, but if you don't also have a kid there or live on Winter Hill, by all means get rid of your stuff in the place that is easiest to schlep it to :)

Thank you all! The Brown school is a few blocks from me so I'll probably head there.
