well, i've done lots of stuff to my computer, and cleared up most of the crap, but there's something still in it. i'll get it fixed up on Wednesday or Friday, sometime. fortunately it is not adversely affecting it's performance, nor will i be around that much until Wednesday. so that's cool.

Don't forget, in cases where you install something and it goes haywire, you can always do a System Restore in WinXP to a date before you installed the offending program. I've found that feature a huge time saver when compared to trying to play whack a mole with naughty programs (and I had a huge similar problem with LimeWire years ago as well).

On my two computers, it's listed as a choice when you go to "help and Support" on the Start Menu. I think it's also listed under "System Tools" in "Accessories". Like many things in the Wonderful World of Windows, you can get to it many ways, none of them memorable!
