Announced at TVGuide.com, Alimi Ballard will have a recurring role in upcoming NCIS episodes. (I hope that's not considered a spoiler; I'll edit if it is.)

From the sounds of things, he doesn't seem like "red shirt" material but you never know about NCIS. LOL. We'll see.

I'm just excited that it's a recurring role. I don't know how "recurring" but at least it's more than a one time deal. Dylan needs to get in on a show where he can be a recurring character. Too bad it can't be NCIS with Ali seeing as Dylan has already appeared and been red shirted on the show. LOL.

Then again, Sophina was a guest star on Numb3rs in a different role a couple of years before she played Nikki. So. /hopeless optimism

I'm torn between going 'YAY Alimi!' and 'Dammit, couldn't it have been a show I actually /liked/?'

hehe. Well, I have to admit. I couldn't watch NCIS for the longest time. I thought Tony DiNozzo was a moron and if they got rid of him, the show might be tolerable.

And then Dylan was on NCIS for two episodes and I said "well hell, now I have to know how all this got started" so we went back and watched it from the beginning. There were definitely rough seasons at times and rougher episodes when the writers seemed to forget the characters they'd created, but overall... it's one of my favorite shows now. I mean, it's no Numb3rs. Nothing ever will be but I do enjoy it. I'm tickled to death that Ali will have a recurring role. This in addition to his role in the upcoming Fast Five? He's gonna be getting lots of lovin'. Now, if we could just get Dylan some of that lovin'... say, a recurring role on Hawaii Five-O maybe? What? Like that's weird. ;)

The funny thing is that I ADORED Michael Weatherly in Dark Angel. So I was super disappointed by his Tony DiNozzo. Plus, IIRC NCIS started as a spinoff of JAG and well, ain't nothing gonna compare to Harm and Mac. /misses them/ But I might give Ali's arc a shot.

... Dylan and Alex on the same screen? OMG. /flails/ I think I might asplode. It would be so awesome, though. Even if Danno would get all jealous at having to share his Steve. :D

Ok, we've had Dylan and Alimi. Now we need Rob, David, Sophina (although she was in NCIS:LA) and everyone else that I can't think of right now -- I love having Swiss cheese for brains.
