Faster than None

While I was out visiting Susi in Ohio last week, I took the chance to get more of an education on an American pastime that doesn't happen in my culture, and we went out to a shooting range where I failed as usual to appear anything other than a coastal yuppie dipstick come to the country.

This is part of the reason I won't ever fire anything larger than a .22; my left shoulder absolutely cannot handle any stronger recoil than those.

For what it's worth, you didn't come off at all like a "coastal yuppie dipstick"; you were a novice marksman who was attentive and conscientious. You behaved safely, and you were quite skilled. I'd feel safe going back to practice with you anytime!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the outing despite the unfortunate thumb-skinning. And I'd say it's good that you couldn't hear anything outside of those headphones. Firing a .44 without those is... less desirable :P

I didn't even realize how much noise there was until I stepped out of the car after the phone call, forgetting to put my headphones on first! And in this video, the constant noise is overwhelming...

And thank you :) Even though it's not something I'd seriously get into, it was quite satisfying to get over my nervousness and perform some successful hits.

When you said you hurt yourself with a gun firing at a bowling ball, I just didn't know what to believe... at least now I have some context of just what happened XD
