And no, I'd agree that Quebec is very..... architecture-ey! This was the major stop for trading with europe in the new world (rather than the "having a go of it with whatever's handy" approach that people had to take further west), so there's definitely a lot more old architecture to speak of, most of which is more european.
This is sounding like a lovely trip :) I've actually never seen Quebec City myself!
