Welcome back to Earth. Or is this just the space station in transit to Earth?

Astronauts in the "drop 'em in the ocean" days would have hot showers on the Navy ships that picked them up. I think this counts as Earth.

Hi David,

I've really looked forward to reading these posts each day.

I'll miss hearing about the adventure!

But I'm also glad you're going home. There's no place like home.

Welcome back! I love the cookies, that *was* a sweet thing to do (how clever to put Mars dust on the boots!) I've enjoyed your reports so much. Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us.

Thanks to Crew 88 for their excellent work fixing and documenting Hab systems and for the thorough walkthrough during the crew changeover. I must admit, we did feel rushed and were a little disappointed that you didn't have lunch waiting for us (as I thought Laksen had promised). Regardless, it was a pleasure meeting you all. If we hadn't lost cellular coverage we were going to suggest that you guys turn around and meet us rather than just stop at the side of the road. It would have saved time for both of us. Thanks so much for delaying your showers another half hour, though. Darrel especially appreciates having his warm coat, and by the way, his wallet was in his backpack safely in the Hab all along. We don't expect to do jazzercise every day by any means, but the plan is to do some form of exercise every day, as is realistic for any astronaut on a mission. --Brian (MDRS Crew 89)
