I lived in New England most of my life and yes, cocoa is the traditional welcome home beverage for those who have been out in the snow and cold. Absolutely. Even here in Virginia, we have days, just not as many.

One thing about the satellite internet is that you may have had ice on the dish. Checking the surface of the dish should be part of the checklist for troubleshooting. You wouldn't think there would be much of an issue in the desert, but it's funny what causes problems.

I wondered why in early morning the feed was nonexistent from the webcams. Lovely photos today.

And apparently more lessons learned in WI (about driving) came in handy on Mars today. Who knew?
