I loved Munch in Homicide -- he was so paranoid, looking for conspiracies everywhere -- but haven't watched L&O. [How have I managed that, given Dick Wolf's grip on NBC/primetime?] Favorite line ever: I'd have to check the Annotated Code, I'm not sure this [the murder of a Yankee fan at Oriole Park] is a crime in Balmer.

Why hasn't he been on Law & Order Criminal Intent? Although I did hear he was suppose to be on the French version

I'm bummed he's going to be on The Wire because I don't get HBO (like so many other people in the world)
