I disagree. Truth encompasses beauty as well as ugliness and dystopia. Moreover, beauty is subjective while truth aspires to objectivity. Love OTOH is a biochemical reaction that enables us to mistake beauty for truth.
Or, in some cases, recognizing truth and misperceiving it as beauty.
"Truth is Beauty, and Beauty, Truth; That is all ye know on Earth/And all ye need to know." Right?
Another intellectualism inherited from my parents, the truth/beauty thing is very important to me and i could happily expound on it ad nauseum, but won't here.
I read/saw something a while ago that danger/unpredictable/life threatening situations can also make people fall in love.
i.e the dound that people saw people as more attractive if they had shared such (see above) situation. And more so if they percieve that they have been 'rescued/saved' by someone.
hence our 'love' of the hero etc.
We off on our holiday's today... or I would look it up for you.
We off to South Devon to a beautiful cottage, near the sea, with added extra's :)
It's owned by a good friend, and there are a few of us going down there.. which is always fun. Lots of good food, good company, beautiful walks and well... our own kind of evening entertainment.

frankly, i think it's more like beauty=truth, but love is made of both components.
