Just checking in.  We're in Savannah right now, enjoying the sights, eating some very, very good food, and doing a lot of walking around in what has to be one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen.

Love Savannah. Drove up to Baltimore a few years ago and stopped there over night. Stayed in the old section of town. Have a great time!

We stayed in the historic district and were able to see everything we wanted to see without having to use our car once in a span of three days. Great city.

Good time of the year for the trip. We went in late May and were feasted upon by deerflies and melted by the serious humidity that made even us former Iowans wince.

Actually, the one down side (see new post) were the no-see-ums, which were everywhere and vicious. I'm covered with itchy welts.
