My Many Hats, Vol. 4 (I think)

If ever there was a day of hats, this was it.  I wrote my 2000 words in the WIP (Writer Hat).  I took care of my younger daughter , who stayed home from school with a bad cold (Daddy Hat).  I had some work to do for our local organic food buying club, of which I am Big Boss Man (Co-op-Coordinator-Guy Hat).  I wrote up an alumni interview that I did ( Read more... )

Your mom and my friend Jen's beloved grandmother who practically raised her...the same day. Jen and I were talking about how it does not honor all the wonderful things our loved one's did to feel only sorrow when we remember them. So, rather than offering my condolenses, I'll say: Good going to your mom! She clearly did her work well. ;-)

Taking the these comments as a whole, I wonder if there's a better word than "Pretentious." Humble-Wine-Guy? ;-)

Thanks for the comments, Jagi. Yeah, our wine club really isn't very pretentious at all. But the idea of it sounds pretentious, so I tend to be a little defensive about it....

Im sure she's proud of you.

I did have to smile about the "Husband Hat" part. Only a guy would write down doing dishes as something extraordinary or at least something that should be lauded as an accomplishment of their day. :) (Hey, I do it too!)

Well, I also cared for the aforementioned sick kid, picked up the other one from school and took her dance rehearsal. I think I probably get husband points for those things, too.
