The Problem With Trees

Spent the day, pretty much literally, doing yard work:  Cleaning gutters, raking the yard, etc.  I'm way too exhausted to write a long post, and I fear that I'll be too sore tomorrow to do anything at all ( Read more... )

I don't know about you, but I make my children rake the yard while I sit on the deck sipping ice tea. Problem solved.

They do self-immolate on the ground and provide mulch!

They just don't do it quickly enough to look nice.

Self-disintegrating leaves eh? And, what type of chemical would make them melt? Something bio-degradable, I would hope. Now, this sort of thing might work in fantasy writing...see...you've written a magic right there...but I think wives would be a bit upset. I mean, they created the whole leaf thing to get us out of the house and raking, right? Why ya wanna make them unhappy? LOL

I think for my wife the pleasure of having me out of the house raking is more than offset by my whining afterwards.
