November Revisited

So, is it December yet?

A few days ago I was waxing poetic (or at least trying) about November's arrival.  Today, not so much.  I should have known that it would come to this.  This morning, and into the afternoon, I raked leaves.  More accurately, I used the rake for some parts of the yard and the lawn mower for others.  Whatever.  It sucked.

Different season, different continent, but that's exactly what I feel like about sweeping the Jacaranda flowers off the driveway. Have to do this every day for about 4 weeks or so or someone will slip, break their neck and sue us. Yes, the tree is in the neighbour's garden.

Yeah, during our year in Oz we had a flowering tree that hung over the driveway. Drove us nuts. But it was beautiful, and the spinebills and whistlers loved it. Thanks for the comment!

I was trying to learn the Eskimo roll in a friend's pool. 58 degrees cold, but the water was coated with a rich carpet of golden and red leaves. Lovely!
