I really love Firefly and Serenity. I have one more episode to finish watching the series and have already qued the movie on netflix to rewatch. I'm really disappointed that the show did not go on longer... it is complete genius.

My favorite parts of the series (movie included) are the hologram gravestones and silence of space. Since seeing Firefly, I've always thought it would be most respectful to have a video representation of the individual whilst alive. But then again, can you imagine looking across a hill to a gravesite as that? It would be lit up like an arcade!
George Lucas, you are wrong! As per the space silence, tis true. No atmosphere to disturb means no sound. And space is just that - a silent, death chill air vacuum with an amazing view.
Oh, and how many captains of a vessel are sooo pragmatic? Han Solo is the only one I can think of that was as gutsy, get-it-done as Firefly's lead man (what's his name, again?).

December 1, 2005 - IGN FilmForce has heard that, although it was very disappointed in the poor box office showing for Serenity, Universal may not have retired Captain Malcolm Reynolds and his renegade crew just yet.
Sources said that, given the strong sales of the TV series Firefly on DVD, Universal is planning a sequel film to Serenity that will be produced with and to broadcast premiere on the Sci Fi Channel, which is part of the NBC Universal family.
The project is said to be a lower budget undertaking streamlined for the small-screen.
IGN FilmForce checked with Joss Whedon's camp who denied the claim; Universal did not comment.
Time will tell if this rumor pans out.
