Well well well. Talk about retards. Somebody in my flat decided to clean the oven last night and didn't clean it up afterwards, so we're left with the foamy white residue stuff that is of course flammable. In order to clean this up, housemate #2 decides to melt it off by closing the door to the grill, turning it onto maximum heat even though there'

utter, utter spastic. this is even worse than our fire, when the asian guy in my hall decided to cook 'some chicken things' at 4 in the morning when he was drunk.

that almost beats the tale of the drunk girl on our floor who help her cigarette up to check the smoke alarm worked

for the first two weeks everyones went off constantly....everyone has now learned as long as u dont leave the kitchen door open or smoke in the corridor then it doesnt go off...
the firemen even told us if our bedroom doors were closed and we had a fire in the bedroom whilst asleep we would die before the alarm would go off - isn't that reassuring
