1 christmas Eve was once the high point of our celebration!!
now we are sorting out all that was Christmas Eve to find it's present

1. Do you have any traditions for Christmas Eve?

We generally sit down with a drink (eggnog or tea), but these past few years we've ignored the actual Eve and merely celebrated the Day.

2. Is there something you didn't get around to doing this holiday season?

I'm sure there is something - it's a very busy time of the year for me.

3. Will you be enjoying some eggnog or Christmas punch later?

No eggnog for me (I don't do dairy), but I might toss a splash of rum into my tea.

4. How good is your gift wrapping?

Excellent! If I have quality paper. Today's wrap was more difficult. I was using a very old paper, and it kept ripping on me as I folded corners, etc. *sigh*

5. Dou you love or hate Xmas music?

I start out loving it, and end up hating it because it's what we have on at the shop every day.

no, we never did anything on the eve, except a couple times when we were visiting my maternal grandparents who had converted to Catholicism. we went to midnight mass with them.

i don't do much anymore, so i still didn't do most of it.

no. the idea of eggnog grosses me out for some reason. 🤢 i'm not big on milk products.

very bad. people can tell my presents by the wrapping. 😅

neither. i dislike more of the new songs and remakes. i can enjoy the ones i grew up with and enjoy singing them with people. i have enjoyed them more this season than i have in a long while. i don't want to hear them before thanksgiving or after christmas day, though. i'm actually irritated because i haven't heard Mr. Grinch or Feliz Navidad yet this year! those usually make me smile a little. ☺️

1) I don't have any (I'm not Christian)

2) I have to get The Trio cat-friendly presents, plus I need to pick up an electric menorah since I cannot have any open flames in my flat (several neighbours are on oxygen therapy)

3) No due to diabetes

5) There are three that I enjoy, but not all versions ("Silent Night", "Carol of the Bells" and "Christmastime is Here") The last title isn't really a "traditional" Christmas song, but it's a favourite of mine when done properly

1. Growing up we always celebrated on Christmas Eve.
Now that it's just me, minus the local family that doesn't seem to include me any more, it's just another day.

2. Doing all the decorating that I wanted to do. :p
Baking that I thought about doing.

3. I have some egg nog in the fridge.

4. I am pretty good at it. :)

Maybe get Maggie a couple of toys and celebrate with her. She might enjoy it as much as you, if not more!

I haven't really celebrated the holidays since I moved to the east side (you know one of my mottos: "Siblings. Can't live with them and there's no decent exchange rate..." Same goes with neighbours!)
