Russell Brand is a comedian so his take is tongue in cheek really. Mainstream media, on the whole, is run by corporate moguls on the whole with their own agenda, and sometimes getting alternative views is a balance to that.
That above comment is so scary and sad. I know that that guy who made it is a nice guy, but it's troubling. The MSM has been lying to us and manipulating us for so long that it is very hard to ignore anymore. Why would anyone trust them or pay attention to what they say? It's like people want to trade liberty for security. Though, with it everything crumbling down now, it's hard to see any security. The US is basically a prison without bars.

I see the danger as Americans viewing freedom very differently and the danger coming from right wing media spreading lies.
