This week I’ve been over in Wales at our factory which is based just outside Cardiff. It has been a pretty good week to be honest. We’ve gone through various bits of build procedure, and I’ve got another bundle of work that will need doing as well as a trip to Canada in the offing

Didn't go for the Canon f/2.8 in the end - went for the Tamron equivalent - less than half the price, no IS, but generally good reviews.

Sounds good, I've got a Tamron 28-75 2.8 as my normal zoom lens, and I am pretty pleased with it.

Did you get it in time for the SBA gig? I was hoping to be there, but my body decided to notice the sleep-dep abuse I've been putting it under over the last week :(

As for the lens, it arrived in time, but the stage was frankly too dark for unblurred shots (even with f/2.8 and ISO 1600), so I went back to the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 again ... was handy for photos at the party afterwards, though ...

Not sure, I do hope so. Or perhaps some shopping at dollar prices....
