Colorado River Canoe Trip - Personal Equipment list

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT LIST FOR COLORADO RIVER TRIP
February 16 - 19, 1996

Take any additional items you think necessary.

1. Extra pants and shirt, rain gear.
2. Underwear, socks, handkerchiefs, tee shirts and sweatshirt.
3. Old tennis shoes for walking in the water.
4. Sleeping bag, ground cloth, sleeping pad and something warm to sleep in.
5. Hat.
6. Swim suit.
7. Towel, soap, tooth brush, etc.
8. Gloves for paddling, if desired.
9. Flashlight.
10. Plate, cup, spoon, fork, and knife. Troop will not furnish these. Mark with identification.
11. 1 quart size container for your personal drinking water.
12. 1 plastic garbage bag for your personal gear. The troop will furnish a 3 mil bag. 1 burlap bag to put your plastic bag in for protection against tearing. The troop has a limited number of these burlap bags.
13. 1 plastic garbage bag for carrying out trash. We must take out all of our trash.
14. Ropes for tying all of your gear to the canoe in case of a capsize and to use as painters for the canoe.
15. Tent. Share with another scout.
16. Suntan lotion and/or sunblock.

Be sure to mark all of your gear with your name or other identification.
