Day 17 - Favorite mini series

Okay, hands-down no brainer on this one. The only mini-series I’ve ever watched as it happened, the only one I own, and the only one (obviously) I’ll rewatch at the drop of a hat:

Lonesome Dove.

I am going to have to rewatch Episode 1 for Simon Pegg now.

I think the best news about the show was finding out that the soldier that Spears makes his already dead speech to, who dies in the series, actually survived to have a long career in the military.

I also like touches such as how the colour palette changes as the war goes on from warm reds to bleak whites to paler colours near the end.

I also liked the St. Foy episode where Carwood Lipton has to try and hold it all together for Easy in the face of adversity.

Yeah, one of those weird odd little errors. I wonder if the production team had known the truth about Blithe, how they might have done that episode differently.

And yeah, "Breaking Point" is the Foy episode. And I love it for the focus on Lipton and for the sequence where Spiers takes command of the company from Dike.
