Fables

There's a comic book series currently being published by Vertigo entitled "Fables" which my friend Colin introduced me to last year. Pretty good. Pretty good. The premise, in the broadest terms, is that all the old fables and fairy-tales and legends and such of all the cultures of earth are in some sense true; the characters are all real people who ( Read more... )

That and Bill Willingham is a strong Rush Limbaugh supporter. From my understanding Willingham is starting to make his politics more publicly know as he and others (Mike Baron, Jim Hudnall, Bill Tucci) fight against the "liberal ideas" in the comic and Hollywood industries.

It's a little more difficult to troll successfully if you have already announced your intent to do so, but as long as you use your real name and follow the rules (which aren't particularly onerous), you will be welcome. I think we are a fun lot.

P.S. Bill is in the process of moving states so don't expect an reaction any time soon.

By the way, well done on the article.

Yeah, well, this is one of those ideas which is funnier in principle than it would be to actually act upon. I'm not really the trolling type by nature. I considered acting upon this a couple of days ago, but decided against it just because there are better uses for my time than deliberately trying to piss people off.

This having been said, how in the world did you even find this post?

I have the power of the Internetz :) I somewhat regularly run searches for reviews of Bill's and Matt's books to post links on ClockworkStorybook and this post popped up on the search results today.

I thought this post was funny and very well-done, but I think it works far better as you originally wrote it.
I loved your post on the homeless shelter, by the way.

Hah! Your google-fu is strong.

Well, I'll tell you what, then: By all means, post the original text, as-posted, and share the link there. I'd be entertained to see the reactions, even if it's not served up as a troll attempt.

Thank you, I was thinking about posting up the link to this post and I will likely do that instead of copying the text. I'll pop it up sometime on the weekend.
