And because I am not insensitive to the fact that Chileans are not the only people to have suffered horrific losses on a September 11th, I feel the need to post this as well:

Well I like Wong because he's funny, and I equate being funny with being smart and thus I trust his judgement. The whole huge conspiracy angle as he points out in the latter part of his article just doesn't hold water. As for ad hominem on the little glory hound, it's more revealing his motivations, which on the other hand, aren't quite so clear for the supposed conspirators. The risk/reward tradeoff for killing 3000 of your own citizens isn't logical.

Plus like someone else pointed out if this fellow believes he lives in an invisibles-like dystopia where the government is willing to commit mass murder on a whim, he ought to be living in a bunker.

Like I said, the best I've seen, to date.

And the anti-sock propoganda certainly does strike a chord, doesn't it? You know there are those who suggest that the whole "tke your shoes off at the airport" routine is not so much a security measure as it is a means of conditioning people into obsequiousnes and compliance. We ask you to dehumanize yourself. You obey. You are rewarded. Get used to it. It seems to me there is a measure of logic to this.
