My grandmother passed away this morning. It was a long time coming, and a release for herself and all of us.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Mine was very ill for a long time before, so I know what you mean about being a release - it's good to know she's not in pain anymore, wherever she is.

It's never easy. I think losing a grandparent is the hardest because unlike parents, most everyone has mostly purely positive memories of them. Parents, you have ups and downs, esp. if one is a step-. Grands, they're the fun times.

I am, of course, very sorry for your loss, Dave. Words don't help much at this time, I know.
