Why Do Atheists Seem To Have The Coolest Blogs?

Apr 24, 2010 13:27

Kind of annoying, since I'm not an atheist by any stretch of the imagination. But when you look at PZ Meyers' Pharyngula or Jen McCreight's Blag Hag or Epsilon Clue, well, the quality of the writing and thinking is fantastic. Lots of science, lots of dissing on fundy halfwits, lots of good progressive politics...

And now ( this )

religion, science, blogs

Funny, but... malefica_v April 24 2010, 20:35:45 UTC
I wish I liked the whole "Boobquake" thing but it doesn't quite work for me. Yeah, I've chuckled about it, but calling the event a "scientific test" isn't fair to science! Americans and many Europeans (male and female) already dress immodestly by Mr. Sedighi's standards.

I won't hold my breath waiting for science or pseudoscience to sway one fundamentalist's certainty. I recall how well that worked in the aftermath of Haiti.

Yeah, saw this over on FB. I don't really have much in the way of cleavage-showing clothing though :D Might have a well-fitting knit shirt or two though...

None of your garb is low-cut? Ah, well... I'll leave it up to you how you want to participate. I'd offer advice, but I'm half a continent away, and my imagination might not match reality, so best we just don't go there...
