Awesomely. Though Tom says they've been talking about it/predicting it for years. Probably ever since the ST USB gave someone the idea for the wireless cellfone. :-) (Tom has one of these. It's neat. You flip it open and Kirk and Spock and Scotty all talk to eachother. Or you rather.
I'm waiting for a cell phone modeled on the classic Trek communicator to come out. When it rings, flip up the grid cover/antenna just like Kirk et. al. If they designed it right, you could have voice dialing, too.
And if you need to dial a new number, just flip open the back, or lift the control pad or something. Shouldn't be hard at all. Why is this not on the market? I'd buy one.
