She may have jumped if she hadn't gotten the early warning by a few seconds - good thing she'd been paying attention to her visions - and she looked up and smiled.

"Bethany!" she said, her voice still echoing some semblance of surprise - she couldn't' remember the last time she had seen the other vampire. She stood up from under the tree slowly, moving toward the other. "It's good to see you! Did you just arrive?"

"Woke up here this morning," Bethany said, smiling at Alice's response. "I'm glad to know at least one person here. This place seems...strange, to say the least."

"Strange is certain a word for it," Alice said with a smile. "You should've seen it yesterday..."

She hesitated a bit - that was going to get into all sorts of awkward territory. 'Edward's human soul mate got bitten and is being turned' kind of awkward. She cleared her throat a bit, and smiled again.

"We seem to be trickling in bit by bit," she said lightly. "Most of the family's here at this point." She paused. "No one from Denali yet though," she added thoughtfully, wondering why that was.
