It was with this in mind that he proceeded up to her office, knocking lightly on the door to announce his presence before stepping in...
...and gaping at her attire. He very much forgot how to speak for a moment. And it was quite some time after that before he noticed her expression. She looked... distressed? Was he imagining that?
Feeling he should at least try to speak rather than gaping like a madman, he managed out a "Ah... hem... is something... bothering...?" before words gave up on him entirely. He really thought he was being rather ridiculous. But the dress was quite pretty.

"One of my sons is ... in Riverfell." She gestured vaguely toward the now quiet globe to explain the source of her knowledge.
She hesitated for only a moment before admitting softly. "And that makes me afraid."

"I can imagine how that must feel," he murmured softly. "To have to fight against your own children... it must be difficult."
He imagined it was somewhat similar to how he felt having to fight against Lily. He had switched sides. He supposed that Ice wasn't exactly in that position, and also that it would solve nothing because it would then pit her against January. He wondered if the son was one that they could... encourage over to the side of Order, but from the look on her face, he doubted it.

She reached out to take his hands rather than his embrace; she couldn't allow herself to have that just then. She couldn't accept that comfort. Not yet. "Suppose I'll have to make an announcement at the party," she mused aloud. "He's ... dangerous. Heartless. Power hungry."
To that end, it wouldn't surprise her at all if he took Ace's position. She wondered if he'd pull his punches, as it were, if he was pitted against her, face to face and one on one.
She honestly didn't know.
