Jake was oddly silent, his mind other places. He still hadn't come to any conclusions about Cameron yet, and that disturbed him. It should be easy to just shut off ... well, everything, when it came to her. But for some reason it wasn't. While he stood in silence near the vampire, his mind focused on the cyborg.
Laurel drifted out of the hall, wandering over to the tree Edward was leaning on, and flopped down beside it. No, she wasn't technically second guard, but that was where the brunt of the people would be ... and she was playing field medic this time out. "'lo, loves," she greeted them.

He didn't remark on the boy's train of thought, though; it wasn't his place to comment on the subject of less than conventional relationships. After all, in the eyes of so many, he was dating his dinner.
"This can't be all," he remarked, recalling that the majority of the wizarding sorts had been listed off as being second guard as well.

His eyes flicked over the others, and he thought this was going to be a good chance to get to see some people he hadn't before.
Lily was warring a bit with herself, wondering whether or not she ought to act very familiar with Severus outside of their rooms. She didn't want to cause any undue stress or pressure, and so she walked quietly beside him, her hands resting loosely at her sides.
She moved toward the group, occasionally sneaking a glance or two at Severus, wondering how this was going to go for him.
