Hank was out for a stroll on the beach - and not because he was avoiding the medlab. He hadn't any desire to run into the newest doctor in DauphinMare, not after he'd heard the story. Oh, he'd find him eventually, he was sure, but until then, he'd to go the medlab when he was called.
Unsure if he'd be welcome in Tony's lab, he'd opted to wait on investigating that, which left the beach. Though when he saw one of the newer additions sitting on the sand and possibly sulking, he reconsidered slightly.
Maybe somewhere else?
But it wasn't as though he could pretend he wasn't there, whether or not she'd seen him. So he shrugged bare, furry blue shoulders and continued to walk along. He'd stop and chat if she seemed inclined; otherwise, he'd keep on walking. "Afternoon," he called with a little wave as he slowed his pace in passing her.
She looked up at the sound of a voice, unsure if she was being spoken to or was in the process of inadvertently eavesdropping. As it turned out, she was the only one about, so she raised a hand in a sort of half wave.
"Wotcher," she offered, before blinking and having another look. "You're aware you're big and blue, yeah?" she ventured before shaking her head, "Never mind, of course you are. Sorry. My head's not where it ought to be right now."
Because where it ought to be was thinking of ways she could be helpful to the war. Not dwelling on her husband-to-be's younger self and his lover, the topic currently plaguing her mind.
"Blue?" He looked down at himself as if surprised. "This morning I was black. I suppose the color's fading," he said in an attempt to tease a little. He smiled a toothy smile before he crossed closer to her since she seemed at least moderately inclined to talk.
"So where is your head that it isn't where it should be?" he inquired as he regarded her hair for a moment before a faint grin slipped over his lips, flitting away as quickly.
Her brows raised a little before she realized he was joking and she managed a rather surprised sounding chuckle before realizing there'd been a question.
"Well, there's this thing with the timelines, right?" she ventured, "Especially among the wizards since there's so many of us. And my fiance is here ... but a good twenty years younger than I'm used to. Which is fine. We met, talked about it, I said I'd leave him be sort of thing, though he's bloody adorable as a teenager." She grinned a bit and shook her head, realizing she'd gotten off topic. "Anyways, he's taken up with another wizard, and I sort of ran across them ... snogging ... in the hallway."
She coughed a little to emphasize what she meant because she didn't want to explain the details of what she'd actually seen. Reliving that hardly seemed like a dashing good time to her.
