oh dear, I really didn't write this with the intention of goading the fair lovelies who read it into a pity party for me, although looking back on it now it seems i managed it.
Thank you for the concern, shan m'dear *hugs hugs* I am fine. we lost some trees, but they fell away from the house instead of on it! very exciting. You are half a world away and are an expert care-er! hope you guys are doing great! i love reading the updates.
To be honest, I've not checked on anyone. We're used to them in Texas, so I just work under the assumption that everyone knows to hide under a mattress in the hallway or bathroom. *sheepish*
oh dear, as i mentioned to the lovely other part of the famed SOF pact (haha do you remember that???) i really didn't mean to bug my LJ fam into sending me warm fuzzies, but i'll take em and avoid pity parties in ze future. *nods*
we get em all the time here, but over 200 people died so it was a pretty big deal. :/ HUG yer bootiful little one for me and hug yourself too!
I do remember the SoF, and think about it pretty much any time I write at you. It was a sweet thing to find out about!
And yes, I'm aware that the destruction is massive - one of my friends here who is also an ex-pat is from Tuscaloosa, or lived there before immigrating, and she's not the happiest. But definitely haven't had a moment to tote up where the what and the hoozit, and have just been hoping that everyone is okay. And hugs all around, fo sho. <3
i made the mistake of watching the news ALL day and it froke me out properly. although it was really very bad. one of the big trees right next to the house fell and the wind was so loud at 6 a.m. that it woke us up. glad YOU are ok!

But apparently I've been sleeping through the worst of your chaos. Silly half way around the world thing.
You are okay, yes?
