[Lily is walking along the corridor of one of the apartment complexes, frowning down at her datapad. There's some sort of kerfuffle happening nearby, but it's not in view of the camera]

Does anyone have any clue what that sound could be? I thought perhaps someone might be having a fight, but--

[He stops the jibe in mid sentence and rushes into the corridor without thinking of what is most likely a dangerous situation. It's Lily.]

Lily? Lily! [James looks back onto the datapad to see where she is in relation to him and does his best to find her. When he does he drops to the ground beside her, stunned. He reverently touches her shoulder as he looks into her lifeless eyes. She can't be dead. This isn't happening. This place is different.]

Someone help! Please! [Maybe someone who knows magic better than he does can fix this, they have to.]

[Seeing James' panic, and the rest of the video, Sirius runs out after his friend, standing back a little when he actually sees Lily's body.

Dead. Again.]

James...

[When he hears his name James looks up and back, making eye contact with Sirius. This is the furthest thing James has ever been from a joke and he searches Sirius' face for some kind of reassurance that this isn't really happening.]

There has to be a healer around here. [he loops an arm around her back] We can still take her there. It just happened, not even a minute ago.

[Sirius doesn't know what to say, and so he says nothing because this is just unreal. He's dreaming. He's insane. Anything that means he didn't just have to watch Lily die and have to watch his own best friend suffer like this]

She's not going to be healed, James. It takes less than a minute to die. [He sounds hollow as he talks, moving closer to James] We need to be careful.

[Catty is just staring for a long time after Lily has fallen. She's no stranger to death, but this...]

[Alice's voice is shaky at first, and then grows more with panic]

Lily?!

Hatter! Something's wrong here!

[Hatter drops the merchandise he was selling to Lily's neighbors at the sound of Alice yelling]

[he runs down the hall, his eyes go wide]

Is that-?

[Alice grabs Hatter's arm, gritting her teeth for a second before speaking]

Someone shot her. Just... [and the realization that someone has died, and that someone is Lily, hits her] Hatter...

[Hatter leans down, checks her pulse. He swears as he pulls off his hat]

She's gone, love.

[he looks down the hall, the question of whether or not they're going to chase down her killer or attend to her body evident in his stare]

[Snape storms into the apartment complex five minutes after witnessing what could only be the second death of Lily Evans, and an additional five minutes of composing himself long enough to foolishly believe that this, too, was some sort of ploy meant to test him.

He finds the exact spot that was depicted in the recording, but finds no one.]

[Panic overcomes him then, and Snape begins to find and question any inhabitant of the complex that he can find. His remaining hand is holding tightly to his lightsaber, and he might be too brash, too mean, too hurtful when dealing with the innocent bystanders but he doesn't care. Snape wants answers, and this is the one thing where he will not stop at any lengths to get them.

Except none of the inhabitants have them for Snape. No one there has seen Lily Evans, save for the last person he finds.

A small Twi'lek child informs Snape with a watery stare that she saw the red-haired human shot and killed by a droid.]

[Something within Severus goes hollow at the earnest information, and though there are a few bitter, half-hearted objections, the fact that his legs quit their support is more honest.

The wizard turned Jedi Master sinks to his knees in the hall, the same hall where Lily has died yet again because he was too late, too weak to save her.

He gives one short, painful cry while tears drop down the end of his hooked nose]
