[Video - Locked]

[It's been a long while, but Artoo hasn't forgotten the mannerisms of his old master. After checking the transmission filters, he twitters his inquiry of concern.]

[kick_astromech]

[The droid whistles. Well, this was going to be interesting.]

[thepariahed]

You have no idea, Artoo. [He leans back. His brow is furrowed; there's been something on his mind for quite some time, but he hasn't been to sure about coming around and asking the little astromech about it.]

[kick_astromech]

[He can tell by that look that there seem to be other concern, bur Artoo can hardly guess at what for all the possibilities. He inquires with his usual two-pitch whistle.]

[thepariahed]

...I need you to be completely honest with me, Artoo.

What happens in the future? [His voice seems to slip slightly, and he swallows.] What happens to Padmé? [He knows what he's asking for if hefty, but this is something he needs. Surely the loyal droid would understand?]

I mean, I know my son is here; at least, Padmé believes he's ours. She said he lives on Tatooine.

[kick_astromech]

[There's an uncharacteristic silence following in response. Yes, he knew this would probably come eventually. It doesn't make things any easier.

Has he any right to keep it back? What happened is a past already committed, but not completely unredeemable. But the things of then he had kept secret even from those of his now.

...Anakin deserves to know, though. This is a chance neither would have ever had.

He beeps the following; location? He'd prefer to speak in person.]

[He's glad Artoo suggested it before he did, but it makes him all the more wary as well.]

My apartment.

[kick_astromech]

[Confirmed. It's a resigned twitter, but he'll see Anakin shortly.]

[thepariahed]

[And he will impatiently await the little droid, attempting to meditate to calm his aggravated nerves.]

[It's not a far distance to travel, and the astromech doesn't dawdle. It's soon enough that there's a familiar beeping at the door. His domed head shifts back and forth in almost a nervous gesture.]

[He reaches into the Force to open the door for Artoo, not moving from his meditative position just yet.]

Thank you for coming so quickly, Artoo.

[kick_astromech]

[The droid trundles inside, warbling lowly. And now that he's here, he's not sure where he should start.]

[thepariahed]

[He opens his eyes, looking down at the astromech. Meditation soothed his nerves somewhat, but from the way Artoo is acting, fresh panic already started to blossom in his chest.] Just... from where you think is best, Artoo.

[kick_astromech]

[He'll have to consider that one. Artoo admits with a twitter that he'd rather have not had to say anything at all, but figuring that it would come up eventually here, he preferred it be him that informed Anakin than have his old master find out through other means.

The droid supposes he should confirm matters regarding Luke. From what he's been able to tell, the boy was already aware that Anakin is his father.]

If he knew... then why didn't he approach me when I arrived? [His brow pulls into a frown, feeling a little stung.]

[From what Artoo gathered, it didn't seem like Luke knew how to bridge that topic. This wasn't exactly the most normal of circumstances, he reminds.]
