Find a droid. They have clothes. Or borrow something from the room you're in, maybe.

You look a little like an Arconan...

Droid? Curious. Possibly rudimentary VI-powered mechanics for menial tasks, maybe even AI, given situation. Can't imagine even criminals would want to repeat mistakes that great. Need further information.

Arconan? Never heard of it. Salarian. Very different, most likely.

Ah - [Luke responds to someone talking fast by talking a little faster himself, though not that fast.] I know my way around droids, but I'm not sure of those terms. If you ask them yourself, I'm sure they'll be happy to talk your ear off. Or timpanic membranes.

Probably. You don't get addicted to salt crystals, right?

Need simpler terms- Ah. If they can think for themselves, make decisions, have sentience, they are classified AI. Highly illegal. Sometimes unethical. Otherwise just VI, machines, hardly something to worry about.

Don't care much for salt. Much prefer sweet end of spectrum.

There's a whole range of droid intelligence, and I think in this time it tends to be on the lower end, compared to mine. But even now people don't think of sentient droids as too remarkable - wipe their memories regularly and they don't end up 'quirky'. Most of them aren't quite people, but they can reason a little.

...So please don't destroy ours unless they shoot first.

Wouldn't destroy them. Not worth it. Don't consider AI ban logical conclusion, good research was done with AI before Geth incident. Possible sanctions, limitations on study facilities, prevent Synthetic Insights fiasco on Noveria from happening again, and situation would be much better.

Do consider wiping memories of sentient beings possibly unethical. Not sure that is something I can condone. Curious moral dilemma.

Well, yeah... [Luke is at least somewhat concerned about the treatment of droids.] People usually wipe them when they're sold off so their personalities reset to the defaults. Sometimes 'quirky' droids end up going rogue, they say, but you'd think there'd be a better way.

- I don't know. Back on the farm we just had patch-ins and Treadwells, and they're pretty simple.

Personality defaults? Sounds more like VI after all. Will have to study this further. Unsure of if situation will allow it. Will try anyway. Science finds a way.

They're made to be obedient, hard working, and precise, but they start having other traits. I'm not sure there's a really hard line between [beat] V-Is and A-Is.

Ask some, they'll probably be happy to help.

Will do that. Thank you for help.

[That blink, with the lower eyelids. Luke loves meeting new alien beings, even over a screen.] You're welcome!
