That's right. From the very distant future, to be specific.

[Thoughtful nod, and at the same time, the information makes his processor run again for a moment.]

Hrm...Well...perhaps the information will still correlate. I don't know how technology progresses in this world.

How long did it take in your time to travel from planet to planet? Would it be the same as it is now?

Ship speeds seem to have not changed drastically over time. It has less to do with the speed of the ship and more to do with the science of hyperspace, I'd imagine.

[Ok, you'll have to excuse his perplexed look. He does that a lot.]

Hyperspace? That's another of those things I'm not quite familiar with yet, I'm afraid. Have there been many advancements over time to the way it functions?

It's possible the one who tampered with the video evidence might simply have been taking the opportunity to frame Miss Turner specifically...or someone looking for any of us to blame. [Despite this, he offers a small smile.] We'll need to get our hands on the equipment to deconstruct the video and trace its origins.

[He nods.] Possibly. I don't know the accused, so I can't make any bearing on her progra-...her..."character?" Perhaps she made enemies while she were here. Either way, I have no doubt that her alleged guilt will be used against all of us.

[He smiles back, a mischievous look on his face. But it's also a little worried.] My Users may be able to do that. I admit, I'm a bit biased, but Kevin was always excellent at manipulating data. I hear Sam shares that trait with his father.

They may desire to stay as uninvolved as possible, though. Flynn prefers to take things in a more passive direction when he can.

They can't help it. onlytheblue August 10 2011, 10:47:57 UTC
...Yeah. One guilty Revanite and we'll all be held accountable. Quite aside from the fact that I'm very certain she's innocent, if they're given any of us to blame, there's every possibility they'll expand from there.

Well...[He shrugs] If they can't give it a crack, I might be able to. I've been told I'm a fair hand at manipulating data when I need to be.

That's what makes it so adorkable. XD tronja307020 August 10 2011, 17:36:54 UTC
Especially with the way the public seems so quick to jump to the conclusion that it was us to begin with. I've seen the way systems under this kind of social unrest go. It's hard to stop once it really gets going. Best to nip it in the bytes before it gets to that point.

[His eyebrows raise in obvious interest when he mentions that, and he gives him a curious smile.] Is that so? Best case scenario, the three of you can work on it together. The more minds working on it, the better. I'll have to broach the subject with the other two sometime later.

Two grid-huh with a what? [ A beat. She shakes her head. Right. Not important. Moving along! ] Look, I don't want to believe Catty's to blame any more than you do. But, they have proof. Video evidence. Unless you know some way they could have magicked that kinda thing up, I don't know that there's much we can do for her.

If we get too involved, all it's going to do is look bad for all of us. What we need is to figure out who did the investigating and see if they went rogue somewhere and figured out how to frame her.
